Björn Krug graduated in law at the Humboldt University of Berlin and obtained his Master's Degree in Commercial Criminal Law at the University of Osnabrück.

From 2003 Björn Krug worked as a trainee lawyer and then lawyer at the law firm Ignor, Bärlein and Partner in Berlin, a firm specializing in criminal defence.

From 2007 to 2011 he worked as a lawyer for KPMG (Berlin), as well as for specialised commercial criminal law firms Kanzleien KellerRechtsanwälte (Heidelberg) and Heimes & Müller (Saarbrücken).

Since 2011 Björn has been a lawyer at Knierim & Kollegen Rechtsanwälte, and since the beginning of 2013 a partner in Knierim & Krug lawyers.

He is a member of the German Bar Association (DAV), the Criminal Law Working Group of the DAV, the Working Group Tax Law of the DAV, the Rheinhessen Association of Lawyers Mainz, the German defence lawyers, and the Commercial Criminal Law Association (WisteV).

Since 2011 he has been a contributor to Beck’s News Service of criminal law and since 2013 has acted as editor.
